Netflix Update On Cowboy Bebop Remake

Hot news about Cowboy Bebop

Written by Dawfydd Kelly on 08 Jun 2021

As part of their Geeked Week Netflix dropped two bits of news about their upcoming live-action Cowboy Bebop series:

 • The show is set for release this Autumn (after production was delayed by an on-set injury suffered by star John Cho).
 • And arguably the bigger piece of news, legendary composer Yoko Kanno, whose work on the original Cowboy Bebop is just one out of a career of frankly astonishing soundtracks covering a breathtaking variety of genres, is returning to create an all-new score of original music.

Honestly that last bit made me do a little "squee" sound - to this day Cowboy Bebop's music is some of my favourite.

Cowboy Bebop stars John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, and Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black. It will stream on Netflix internationally this October.
