MVM announce Vinland Saga

MVM have announced via twitter that they will be releasing the Vinland Saga anime from Wit Studio next year. The announcement follows on from previous announcements for Venus vs Virus, Kanon and Air. 

Synopsis:
Set in the age of Vikings, Young Thorfinn has grown up on tales spun by sailors of the promised region of Vinland, a warm and fertile place of peace, another world compared to his freezing upbringing in Iceland. With the Vikings pledging themselves to both sides of the war between the English and the Danes, it seems that the only world awaiting Thorfinn is one of violence and death as he seeks to avenge the death of his father at the hands of the mighty Askeladd.
