After a screening of his latest film, Shadow of Fire, at the 41st Munich Film Festival, Shinya Tsukamoto was interviewed and they have kindly made this available to us. Just don't make the mistake I did, it's in German for the first five minutes then it switches to English.
So if you want an insight into this most remarkable director as well as know what the first film he saw at the cinema was, well, this is for you.
Long-time anime dilettante and general lover of cinema. Obsessive re-watcher of 'stuff'. Has issues with dubs. Will go off on tangents about other things that no one else cares about but is sadly passionate about. (Also, parentheses come as standard.) Looks curiously like Jo Shishido, hamster cheeks and all.
