Announced at a Sheryl Nome birthday event, the Macross Frontier All Time Best Album Nyan Nyan Greatest Hits album is scheduled to be released on Ranka Lee's birthday, April 29th 2025.
As well as some of the show's greatest hits - and there are many thanks to May'n - the album will also feature three tracks never previously released on an album; Labyrinth of Time, Sacrifice and Good Job!
What really makes the album exciting is the addition of an LP release alongside the standard CD format.
You can visit the official website to find out more, and if you're in the UK and want to grab a copy, we generally use CD Japan.
From the Press Release:
Nyan Nyan Greatest☆Hits! will be available in three editions: a limited-edition “Deculture” boxset, a special-edition, and a standard edition. The limited-edition boxset comes in a memorial box and includes the new album, a bonus drama CD with cover songs, a blu-ray disc, and an acrylic figure. The special-edition comes with the album and bonus drama CD in a decorative case.
The bonus drama CD, “Deculture Uta Gassen,” features a drama track starring Sheryl and Ranka singing covers of each other’s songs. In addition to the bonus CD included with the special-edition, it also comes with a digest of past live performances on Blu-ray titled Nyan Nyan Chronicles, and an acrylic figure. First editions of all albums will include a serial code that gives priority access to tickets for “SANKYO presents Macross Frontier Galaxy Live☆Finale 2025” at K Arena, July 26 and 27, 2025. The special illustration featured on the special and limited-edition albums was drawn by Macross Frontier character designer Risa Ebata. Another illustration to be featured on the standard edition will be released to the public at a later date.
A vinyl set with songs carefully selected from the new all-time best album on three records is scheduled to be released on the same day as the new album. First edition sets will be produced on colored vinyl.
