Takara Tomy Missing Link Arcee Video Reveal

Takara Tomy Missing Link Arcee Video Reveal

Written by Ross Locksley on 06 Mar 2025

It's an exciting time for Transformers fans as Takara continues to push their G1 Missing Link range in new and exciting directions.

Following on from the superb Missing Link Optimus Prime, not to mention updated minibots Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, the latest reveal is Missing Link Arcee, a new toy based on an unreleased prototype that would have been the first female Transformer. Now, nearly 40 years later, Takara have not only bought the prototype to life, but they've added modern articulation too!

The figure comes in two flavours; the original colour scheme for Arcee, a pink and orange affair which suits designer Floro Dery's tastes for muted colours, and the strawberry cream pink and white colourway that was eventually used for the character.

Fitting in with your G1 1986 movie characters perfectly (Hot Rod, Kup and Blurr) this is the G1 figure we always wanted but were denied (because boys don't buy toys of girls, ptooey!)

UK outlets Kapow Toys and In Demand Toys both have reasonably priced pre-orders up already, so if you want to get your hit of modernised G1 Transformers nostalgia, this is for you.
