Original Gundam movie triogy comes to 4K

According to listings on Anime-On-Line, and All The Anime the original Gundam movie trilogy is set to be released on 4K on July 22nd from Anime Ltd, as separate releases or in a Collector's Edition which includes a slip cover and 68 page booklet.

Gundam Movie Trilogy in 4K

The individual films have an RRP of £34.99 (only £24.99 at Anime On Line though) and the Collector's Edition will set you back £109.99.

Gundam Movie Collector's Edition

The 68-page booklet, "Beyond the Universal Century". This comprehensive guide to the original Mobile Suit Gundam contains character art and details, storyboards, and a host of interviews and articles officially translated into English for the first time, with discussion on Mobile Suit Gundam from creator and executive director Yoshiyuki Tomino, animation directors Tetsuro Araki and Shunichi Yoshizawa, and producer Naohiro Ogata.

Released in 4K for the first time outside Japan, the iconic films were created by editing the original series together into a shorter trilogy of films for easier consumption.
