The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (2006) comprised numerous standard hi-school anime elements - wacky cast, hi-jinks, cool school outfits... But it was the novel twist that hooked fans, and since its debut as a light novel, Haruhi has made huge strides across the globe and established itself as a killer franchise. Protagonist Suzumiya Haruhi has almost became the symbol of otaku culture.

Haruhi herself is no stranger to figures (and small wonder really). There's a wealth of statues, kits and action figures for her, so it takes something special to stand out. We've seen ordinary high school uniform, bunny girl, Gothic maid… and now here's a new design from Gathering ^_^

Sporting a sweet pink uniform that looks like a cross between a Racing Queen and a go-go dancer, it's a typically confident Haruhi pose.

Thanks to the use of sparkling powder, pearly effects can be seen all over her singlet, shorts and boots. The trademark pretty walnut eyes and remarkable orange ribbon are still in place, offset by the nicely painted S.O.S. logo on her chest!  If you found it strange (I’d rather call it "Haruhi style") that she is holding a beam gun, just allow our Gathering Surprise to help: change the gun into Pompom and make her a cheerleader!
