A keen gamer, photographer and podcaster, Tom is always looking for new anime and manga to explore; if you have any to suggest, give him a shout.

Anime News Network (ANN) has today shared the tragic news that Zac Bertschy, one of the sites key contributors for over 20 years, has passed away.

Zac was known far and wide across the anime community, and shared his passion for it through ANN as its first full-time staff member, quickly overseeing all editorial content, including reviews, features, preview guides and interviews.

Many of Zac’s fans will also remember him fondly from his work on ANNCast, a podcast he led for over a decade, during which he would talk about the things he enjoyed most - anime, movies and television.

You can read the full eulogy on Zac’s life here, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and those who Zac helped and supported in some way.
