Yoshitaka Amano makes Vogue cover

Yoshitaka Amano makes Vogue cover

Written by Ross Locksley on 06 Jan 2020

It isn't often my fashion work meets Japanese culture, but this striking Vogue cover solicitation certainly caught my eye. Unmistakably Amano (Final Fantasy), this cover depicts model Lindsey Wixson in a Gucci dress.

Furthermore, every article in the magazine will be accompanied by illustrations only, with the money saved on costly photo shoots being donated to the flood-damaged Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice

The entire magazine will be given over to fashion illustration, which might have made for a good episode of Ugly Betty (which I'm rewatching currently!)

Hopefully I can pick up a copy when I visit the Unica fashion show in Milan next month!
