Witcher anime coming to Netflix

Written by Ross Locksley on 29 Jan 2020

Netflix have announced via twitter that following on from the successful Witcher live action series featuring UK actor Henry Cavill is going to make the leap to anime in a feature entitled The Witcher: Nigtmare of the Wolf.

Purportedly the film will feature a new threat to the Continent, and will be animated by Legend of Korra animators, Studio Mir. The film will be headed by Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo.

No release date has been announced, but development thus far has been at least a year. Given the writers worked in the live action show, it's likely that Henry Cavill will provide the voice acting for Geralt, with rumours also circulating that Harriet Kershaw may also be on board.

More news as we get it.
