Now that Bleach's anime run is over and all of its volumes released on DVD, what is a distributor to do to fill that gap? Well, how about releasing it all again in a different format?
At last weekend's Anime Central convention in Illinois, Viz Media announced their intentions to release Bleach on Blu-ray in North America, the first volume of which will be arriving in the US on July 19th 2016, containing the first 27 episodes of the series remastered by the same team which brought Death Note to Blu-ray for the distributor and spread across four Blu-ray discs.
These discs will be encased in foil finish packaging, while the discs themsevles will of course sport English and Japanese audio with English subtitles, with these releases also featuring the "Kon's Corner" bonus feature for the first time, which will also sport an English dub.
