99% of goods to be free of tariffs, and easier movement between countries

Something a bit different today, but worthy of comment we think. Today, the UK and Japan agreed a historic Free Trade Agreement that will see movement of workers between both countries made significantly easier for residents of each country, as well as easing of tariffs between the two to ensure closer working opportunities in the future.
Under the terms of the deal, Japan will aim to permit working visas in 90 days, and allow workers to bring family with them for up to five years. This goes much further than the EU/Japan trade deal struck earlier this year and will be worth a projected 15.2 billion in extra trade between the two countries.
Could this lead to cheaper consoles and figures? Maybe, especially if the currency rate improves. Dare we even dream of our own life-size Gundam standing guard in the UK one day?
The UK Anime Network was founded almost 25 years ago due to a love of Japanese culture (and food it must be said!) so we're thrilled that our countries will now be closer together than ever before.
