Transformers War For Cybertron Netflix Trailer Live

Written by Ross Locksley on 23 Feb 2020

Fresh from the New York Toy Fair comes the highly anticipated first trailer for the upcoming Netflix exclusive War For Cybertron series.

The series will be animated by Rooster Teeth, the same studio behind RWBY, and will comprise six episodes running for 22 minutes each.

The series will focus on the final days of the war on Cybertron, before presumably shifting to Earth in order to align with the Earthrise toys being released shortly.

A series of repaints of the Seige toyline from last year will be released specifically to tie in with the animation, featuring accurate decos to the on-screen models.

From the trailer we can see Jetfire is a Decepticon (in most continuities he becomes an Autobot) and prominent roles for Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Impactor, Megatron, Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. Elita One can also be seen, so hopefully we'll have some prominent female characters in play, as has been the norm since Transformers Prime.

The voice talent includes Jason Marnocha (megatron), Jake Foushee (Optimus Prime), Linsay Rousseau (Elita-1), Joe Zieja (Bumblebee), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Rafael Goldstein (Ratchet), Keith Silverstein (Jetfire), Todd Haberkorn (Shockwave, Red Alert), Edward Bosco (Ultra Magnus, Soundwave), Bill Rogers (Wheeljack), Sophia Isabella (Arcee), Brook Chalmers (Impactor), Shawn Hawkins (Mirage), Kaiser Johnson (Ironhide), Miles Luna (Teletraan I, Cliffjumper), and Mark Whitten (Sideswipe, Skywarp
