Tenjutsu is an 80's anime style Yakuza thriller from the creator of Dead Cells

At this year's Devolver Direct, Dead Cells developer Sébastien Benard announced a new project named Tenjutsu. Taking on the role as a renegade female Yakuza, you'll take on four crime syndicates in a bid to loosen their iron grip on the city. With a diverse brawling system replete with weapons, upgrades and martial arts, you'll constantly upgrade your skills before taking on each syndicate in any order you wish. 

Once you've liberated an area, it will begin to flourish, providing you with additional resources from shops and restaurants, but don't dawdle - the longer you take, the stronger your enemies become. 

It sounds like a well thought-through set of mechanics, and the 80's anime aesthetic doesn't hurt either - feast your eyes below:
