A brand new isekai seris featuring DC's Suicide Squad is in development and now has a trailer!
Director Eri Osada confirmed the new series at Anime Expo care of IGN, he elaborated that the focus would be an all-new take on Joker and Harley Quinn, who would also wield magic in their new world.
“Everybody has their favorite version of Joker,” Osada acknowledged. “We ultimately decided to not copy any particular iteration and have something completely unique.”
The series is a joint venture between WIT Studio and Warner Bros. Japan. Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World light novel author Tappei Nagatsuki will be writing the script with Hitman: Reborn mangaka Akira Amano on staff to give us his take on the duo with new character designs.
