Sonic Racing Transformed remains one of my all time favourite racing games, with a mix of SEGA heritage, entertaining courses and varied racing action, the team seems to have a great handle on racing mechanics. The latest title seems to have shifted the focus to purely Sonic related characters with Sonic Racing: Crossworlds.
The main gimmick this time seems to be on using rings to traverse worlds (as seen in the films) but your vehicle can still change to suit the environment and the stages seem themed to other SEGA games (nice to see the aircraft carriers of Afterburner making a comeback).
The game is due to be released on all major consoles and PC later this year.
