Seven Seas acquire To Love Ru and To Love Ru Darkness manga

An ocean of fan service

Written by A. H. on 24 Apr 2017

Last week saw no shortage of acquisition announcements coming our way from publisher Seven Seas Entertainment, but they arguably saved the biggest until last as Friday brought news that both To Love Ru and To Love Ru Darkness will be coming to the west starting this October.

For those unfamiliar with these series, here's more from Seven Seas themselves:

Rito Yūki is your average high school student–awkward, shy, and hopeless when it comes to confessing his feelings to the girl of his dreams. But one day, an alien princess on the run suddenly appears in his bathtub! When Rito finds himself engaged to the beautiful Lala after a misunderstanding, he becomes embroiled in the chaos of extraterrestrial politics, rival alien suitors, and harem hilarity! The story continues in To Love Ru Darkness, when Lala’s younger sister Momo begins her own machinations to marry Rito…but it can only happen if he is coronated as king of their interstellar empire, which would allow him to marry as many women as he wants!

Both series are slated for both physical and digital releases, with To Love Ru arriving in 2-in-1 omnibus editions starting on October 24th 2017, with To Love Ru Darkness hot on its heels as single volume editions beginning 31st October 2017.

You can read the full press release on the Seven Seas Entertainment web site.
