Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds Ultimate coming February 13th

Written by Ross Locksley on 26 Sep 2024

Phantom Breaker started life as a 2D beat-em-up on Xbox from 5pb / MAGES back in 2011 - I was a big fan and reviewed it on release. A spin off scrolling fighter was released in 2013 called Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds. The game made a return in 2022 with Phantom Breaker: Omnia thanks to Rocket Panda Games - the same company has taken ownership and is now looking to refresh the IP with Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds Ultimate.

The new game is to be completely rebuilt with Unreal Engine 5, with smoother gameplay, local and online co-op, as well as versus modes for up to 8 players.

On top of this, the game will have a remastered soundtrack, the ability to play as the villains and come with revamped gameplay showcasing bigger and flashier attacks.

The game will be released on February 25th 2025.

The UK will also be getting a Day One Edition complete with a Physical Edition, Collectable Card, Instruction Manual and an exclusive DLC code. You can register for a pre order alert on the official Phantom Breaker page
