Paul "Otaking" Johnson is a UK animator who has a history of creating amazing short films as tributes to his heroes - his Tie Fighter anime is still a stunning achievement.
Adding to this lineage is his Alien: Monday short film, a beautiful 20 minute short created to look like classic 80's/90's anime, full of detail, vivid colour and stylish character designs. The film is free to watch and was directed by Paul and Claudia, with music by Andy Greer and voices by Sara Secora and Phillip Sacramento.
