Overwatch 2 x Gundam Wing event starts April 29th

Written by Ross Locksley on 28 Apr 2025

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the seminal Gundam Wing, Overwatch 2 has introduced character outfits based on key mecha designs from the show in a limited event that runs from April 29, 2025 until May 13, 2025.

These cosmetic skins include:

  • Mercy as Wing Gundam Zero
  • Ramattra as Epyon
  • Soldier: 76 as Tallgeese
  • Reaper as Deathscythe

Other Gundam themed items will also be available throughout the promotion, such as the Gundamari weapon charm.

Gundam Wing made its debut in 1995, directed by Masashi Ikeda and written by Katsuyuki Sumizawa. It was a mainstay of Cartoon Network and was for many fans in the West their first taste of the Gundam franchise. Set in an alternate "After Century" timeline, Gundam Wing follows five pilots sent by the orbital colonies to free themselves from the tyranny Earth.
