Written by Ross Locksley on 05 Oct 2022

One Peace has announced Usotoki Rhetoric, a beloved shojo title about a downtrodden 16 year old, exiled from her village for possessing the curious power to hear lies. This ability comes in handy when she meets a handsome but down-on-his-luck detective called Iwai Soma - together they form an unusual but effective team to solve the mysteries of Tsukumoya town in the 1020's.

Usotoki Rhetoric will be released on October 13th.

From the Press Release:

This long-awaited series features some tear-jerking, a dash of romance, and lots of juicy mysteries in a beautifully rendered early Showa era setting of kimonos and tuxedos. Carefully translated by Molly Lee, Usotoki Rhetoric appeals to fans of shojo, mystery, and historical fiction in equal numbers.
