Crunchyroll has announced in a press release today that they have acquired the distribution rights to the upcoming Trigun: Stampede anime coming in 2023 from Orange, the studio behind the critically acclaimed Beastars.
The show will be getting an all new staff and cast to retell the original manga story by Yasuhiro Nightow, which became a global hit thanks to an excellent 1998 anime series and the 2010 feature film, Trigun: Badlands Rumble.
The story follows Vash the Stampede, a legendary outlaw pursued for the incredible bounty on his head - law enforcers Meryl Strife and Milly Thompson keep tripping over a man that fits the description, but can the hapless loser in the red trenchcoat really be the man they're after?
More details about the series production will be announced on July 2nd at Anime Expo 2022 in Los Angeles at the Crunchyroll panel.
The series has already been granted an official website, www.trigun-anime.com , and you can follow progress on the official twitter account, @trigun_anime.
