MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed writing contest 2025 to launch Worldwide

Exciting news for budding authors as a new novel writing contest is launching worldwide, presented by Frontier Works. In conjunction with MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed, the 2025 competition takes on the title of "Twilight Frontiers", the theme of submissions to be made online. 

The contest will be held on Honeyfeed, a novel submission platform operated by qdopp, with the goal of discovering exceptional storytelling talent from around the world.

For this contest, Frontier Works will be searching for storytellers who can ignite readers' imaginations with worlds of magic and action or captivate hearts with romances lived out under the relentless gaze of fame. Now's your chance to enchant audiences, step into the spotlight, and prove that your stories have the power to stand alongside the most beloved titles in the anime industry.

The contest is free to enter and the entry period starts October 27th and ends on January 20th, 2026. So a bit of time to come up with your submission! Judges will announce their decision by March 22nd and the public will also get a chance to vote n the finals from March 23rd to April 22nd. 

The two available themes are:

1. Urban Fantasy
2. Spotlight Romance

Prizes:
The contest offers monetary rewards for outstanding entries:

  • Most Voted “Urban Fantasy” Entry: US$3,000
  • Most Voted “Spotlight Romance” Entry: US$3,000
  • Most Voted Entry by Judges/Jury [From both prompts]: US$3,000
