Saudi Arabian Manga Productions has announced the launch of Goldorak U in July, based on the Go Nagai series UFO Robo Grendizer which was last seen on screens 40 years ago.
The strategic partnership between Manga Productions and Dynamic Planning was announced back in 2022, where Goldorak was licensed for all territories outside of Japan, leading to the construction of the Goldorak statue in Riyadh, which hold the Guinness World Record for largest metal statue of a fictional character standing at 33 metres tall.

The new series is based on Go Nagai's UFO Robo Grendizer. The second promotional video features the Goldorak U team, and is supervised by chief director Mitsuo Fukuda. The series is composed and written by Ichiro Okouchi, with Tatsuhito Higuchi as the screenwriter. Character design is handled by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, while Mari Araki is responsible for supporting character design. Mechanical design is by Wataru Inata, AF_KURO and Junichi Akutsu (Astrays), and design work by Pinakes, Tomoyuki Aoki, Zenseava and Masato Yoshinaga. The Main Animation includes Hiroyuki Taiga, Takashi Hashimoto, Masahiro Yamane and Toru Yoshida. Art direction is Hiroshi Kato and Hirofumi Sakagami (Totonyan), while Tomoe Yoshimura is in charge of Color Design and Atsushi Usuta (Nexus) is in charge of Cinematography. Yukio Nagasaki is in charge of the sound, with sound effects by Toshiya Wada and Maki Takuma (Swara Pro). Music is composed by Kohei Tanaka, and music production is provided by PONY CANYON. GAINA is in charge of the production of the animation.
The series will be aired on the Manga Productions Youtube channel and will be available in Arabic, French, Italian and English.
