Indie-game Soulers launches global demo

Indie-game Soulers launches global demo

Written by Ross Locksley on 27 Dec 2024

For those of us raised on bullet-hell shooters, the release of the WASD award-winning indie top-down shooter Soulers can't come soon enough. Thankfully we now have a demo to bridge the gap.

Taking on the role of Machina, yours is the power to slow time. Together with a team of Soulers, you'll have to save the world one bullet at a time, using your unique abilities to survive the blitzkrieg of bullets you'll have to take down your enemies with powerful counterattacks. Adding new weapons and picking the right partner helps add depth to proceedings, with some tactical skill required to win the day.

The demo provides around 40 minutes of gameplay, with four stages, a boss battle, seven companions, three weapon types and a talent enhancement system, all designed to give you a full flavour of the game on release.

Scheduled for the second half of 2025, the full game will include a story mode, boss raids and a roguelike mode.

You can find the demo on Steam.
