<p>Illustrator and Mechanical Designer honoured in San Diego</p>

As part of the San Diego Comic Con, Macross artist and mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin has been awarded the Inkpot Award.
The artist has also worked on series such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Hellsing Ultimate, Aquarion and Space Battleship Yamato. Tenjin is also a voice actor, having slayed roles in Hunter x Hunter and Garo the Animation.
Other recipients of the award include Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku), Ryoichi Ikegami (Crying Freeman), Kazuo Koike (Sailor Moon) and Osamu Tezuka (basically the God of Manga), putting Hidetaka Tenjin in very good company.
