Gundam SEED Freedom trailer shows off new mobile suits

The latest Gundam SEED Freedom trailer has shown off the new "hero" suits and their transformation ability, The film, which is due for release on January 26th 2024, will see the return of the surviving series regulars facing off against a new threat and is set one year after the events of Gundam SEED Destiny. Written in 2006, it was postponed numerous times due to the health of write Chiaki Morosawa's health. After her death in 2016, production was started.

Of course, no Gundam animation is really Gundam without the Gunpla to back it up, and Bandai has already seen to putting the marketing machine in motion:

Gundam SEED was hugely popular when it launched in Japan, despite being more divisive across the rest of the world. It will be interesting to see which way the new series leans, as the trailers suggest that Kira himself may be the latest threat to the fragile peace.
