Durarara!! Season 1 to air on VICELAND

Written by D. R. on 09 Nov 2017

Anime Limited's release schedule - which is publicly available on their website - is often the source of interesting titbits about their plans. The latest news to slip through via their webpage is that Durarara!! Season 1 will be airing on VICELAND. The series will begin on 20th November 2017, when - according to Anime Limited - it will be shown "from midnight" and will be airing daily. Though previous series, such as Kill la Kill, have aired at 23:30 (11:30pm) and we would expect that trend to continue.

It will join other Anime Limited shows such as Eureka Seven and Cowboy Bebop, which have also aired on the Sky TV channel. As regular readers may know, we are big fans of the series here at UK Anime Network. We awarded the first season a whopping 9/10 when we reviewed it in the form of Anime Limited's Durarara!! - Collector's Edition, back in March 2014.

Synopsis: Among the strange and dangerous mysteries in Ikebukuro one stands out: the urban myth of the Black Rider. Known as a headless monster known to roam the streets on the back of a motorcycle.

High School student Mikado Ryugamine moves to this downtown area of Tokyo, eager to experience the wonders of the big city. With best friend Masaomi as his guide, Mikado soon finds that witnessing the Black Rider was merely the beginning of a kaleidoscope of crazy encounters beyond his wildest dreams.

For those of you wishing to take advantage of more anime airing on television, VICELAND is available to subscribers on Sky channel 153 and via NOW TV.
