Odeon Cinemas will be showing the extended version of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods across the UK this Saturday in both subtitled and dubbed flavours.

You can find the film and book tickets on the Odeon website: Tickets for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

DBZ author Akira Toriyama was deeply involved in the film, which is set between the 517th and 518th installments of the original manga run, set during the "lost decade" of time between stories after the battle with Majin Buu.

The Odeon describes the film as follows:

Fans of Dragon Ball Z, one of the most successful anime brands of all time, will be delighted to know that Battle of Gods is an original work from the Dragon Ball creator himself, Akira Toriyama. Goku and friends return to the big screen to save Earth in one of the most epic battles of the Dragon Ball franchise, featuring the never-before-seen in European theatres special extended cut of the film with an additional 20 minutes to the original theatrical cut. Following the events from the Dragon Ball Z television series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threatens humanity... Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumours of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-Fighters must find a way to stop him before it’s too late. Only Goku, humanity’s last hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe!
