December Film Announcements - Part 2

Written by Richard Durrance on 11 Dec 2024

A quick announcement on film news, firstly Radiance has slipped in an update - and a good update - their release of the Eel, will be director Shohei Imamura's extended 135-minute cut of the film, never before released on Blu-Ray.

Secondly, a Third Window release for March 2025 that's been a while coming but finally confirmed, yet with an interesting additon: Keishi Kondo's styllish and well received horror New Religion will be hitting our shores, but wrapped up with it is his crowd-funded short film Neu Mirrors, that continues on from the film.

New additions! though not up on their site yet, 88 Films have annnounced two more Nikkatsu Roman Porno: the infamous Assault! Jack the Ripper and Girl Hell. Then the intriguing and very welcome news of a blu-ray of Shozin Fukui’s cyberpunk madness that is Pinocchio 964.

Pick-up your copy of New Religion here, and as an added Christmas treat, Third Window's latest trailer for the film.

About Richard Durrance

Long-time anime dilettante and general lover of cinema. Obsessive re-watcher of 'stuff'. Has issues with dubs. Will go off on tangents about other things that no one else cares about but is sadly passionate about. (Also, parentheses come as standard.) Looks curiously like Jo Shishido, hamster cheeks and all.
