Death Note: Light up the NEW World is coming to Netflix on August 7th. The film, which takes place after the events of the original Death Note story, shows another 6 notebooks arriving in the human realm, and the race is on to to stop the madness from repeating.

Originally released in 2016 and directed by Shinsuke Sato (library Wars, Kingdom), the film tied with A Silent Voice for 10th highest grossing Japanese film of the year in Japan.
