DC has unveiled a trailer for their upcoming Catwoman: Hunted animated film, which gives the feature a decidedly anime style twist.

The film takes Selina on a whirlwind mission to clear her record after her latest theft creates a tsunami of trouble for DC's famous feline femme fatale. Teaming up with Batwoman, she's tasked with taking down female crime-boss Leviathan via a whole lot of other DC heroes and villains.

Featuring the vocal talents of Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious) as Selina Kyle, Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Kate Kane’s Batwoman, Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Black Mask, Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop) as Solomon Grundy, Kieth David (The Thing) as Tobias Whale, and Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Boss Moxie.

The film is directed by Shinsuke Terasawa, but animated in-house at Warner Brothers. Whether it ends up being an "anime-inspired" effort like Totally Spies or something with more of a unique flavour, we'll have to wait and see.

The film is slated to release in 2022.
