BFI Southbank April & May Anime Season - May Listings Update

Written by Richard Durrance on 28 Mar 2022

The BFI have updated their April-May anime season to include the May listings. Highlights include Anime classic films part 2; further IMAX screenings, such as Your Name; and a Contemporary Anime Auteurs strand focussing on the works of Satoshi Kon, Makoto Shinkai and Mamoru Hosoda.

And would you believe it? A strand for Studio Ghibli classics.

Tickets on sale April 7th... or earlier for those lucky enough to be members.

Here's a hint to one of those Studio Ghibli classics. (No prizes for guessing it.)

About Richard Durrance

Long-time anime dilettante and general lover of cinema. Obsessive re-watcher of 'stuff'. Has issues with dubs. Will go off on tangents about other things that no one else cares about but is sadly passionate about. (Also, parentheses come as standard.) Looks curiously like Jo Shishido, hamster cheeks and all.
