Persona 4, and the forthcoming Persona 5, might be more prominent in the thoughts of fans at the moment, but it shouldn't forgotten that Persona 3 is also enjoying a pair of animated movie outings, the first of which has already been released theatrically in Japan with a second appearing in the summer.
With that in mind, Aniplex USA has announced their intentions to bring an imported version of Persona 3 The Movie #1: The Spring of Birth on Blu-Ray to North America. The release will consist of both standard and collector's edition variants priced at $99.98 and $74.98 (before any sale reductions) respectively, both of which will include both theatrical and director's cut versions of the film complete with English subtitles, alongside untranslated trailers, commericals and an audio commentary for the film.
Additionally, the collector's edition release will contain a sountrack CD, a 48-page booklet, stickers and illustration cards, packaged with exclusive box and cover art.
Both editions of the film will go on sale from May 20th, with the official web site for the release listing the UK and Ireland as amongst the territories where this Blu-Ray release is officially available.
Will you be picking up this movie on Blu-Ray, or will you hold out in the hope of a full UK release? Let us know your thoughts!
