Manga Entertainment's latest box set brings us both Death & Rebirth, and End of Evangelion together for the first time.
Death and Rebirth retells the events of teh final volumes, which (confusingly) has also been re-released as Genesis Reborn, and will probably be seen once again in teh Platinum Edition. Talk about milking it...
Still, Death and Rebirth is a good "catch up" but certainly not essential for those of us familiar with Eva up to episode 24.
End of Evangelion is another matter. A brutal and unforgiving film, here it gains an excellent commentary track. The observations are well informed and provide particular insight into the more confusing areas of the film, and adds hugely to the package. The film itself remains entirely unchanged, and those of you with the previous release not bothered by commentary tracks may be disappointed.
For those just after the features, the individual releases are a probably a more cost effective purchase.

A nice package but offers little over the previous releases.
