With October coming up fast, it's time for our attentions to turn to Scotland, and more specifically Scotland Loves Anime, who have now unveiled their 2014 line-up of films and guests.
The festival takes place at the Glasgow Film Theatre from October 10th-12th and the Edinburgh Filmhouse from October 13th-19th.
First up, here's the line-up for the Glasgow weekend:
Friday 10th October
11:00PM - Ghost in the Shell
Saturday 11th October
1:45PM - K: Missing Kings
3:40PM - Appleseed Alpha
6:00PM - Wings of Honneamise
Sunday 12th October
12:30PM - Lupin 3rd vs Detective Conan
3:00PM - Bayonetta: Bloody Fate
5:30PM - Giovanni's Island
8:15PM - Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods
Director of Giovanni's Island, Mizuho Nishikubo, will be on-hand for a question and answer session of his film after the screening on Sunday evening.
If you're planning to head to the festival's Glasgow weekend, you can already pick up a weekend pass for all of the films on show there at a price of £48. Tickets for individual screenings can be found on this page of the GFT web site.
Dates haven't yet been confirmed for when films will be screening in Edinburgh, but this is what we can expect from that leg of the festival:
- Appleseed Alpha
- Bayonetta: Bloody Fate
- Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods
- Giovanni's Island
- K: Missing Kings
- Lupin 3rd vs Detective Conan
- Sword of the Stranger
- Time of Eve
- Wings of Honneamise
Guest for the Edinburgh stage of the festival is the president of Studio BONES, Masahiko Minami, who will be taking part in an hour-long question and answer session after a screening of two episodes of Space Dandy.
Also present in the Edinburgh line-up is the now-traditional "mystery film", which is a UK premiere.
Tickets for the Edinburgh leg of the festival will go on sale in September from the Edinburgh Filmhouse web site.
