Kodansha have confirmed to Anime News Network that Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (Otaku Can't Fall In Love) has been licensed for release in the US in April.
The manga is a romantic comedy between two unlikely (and secret) Otaku - Hirotaka, a handsome and efficient company man with a penchant for gaming, and Narumi who lives for Boys Love manga (also known as a Fujoshi, or "rotten girl"). Can two secretive social misfits fall in love?
The manga was first published on the Japanese equivalent of DeviantArt, Pixiv, in 2014. It moved to Comic POOL in 2015 and subsequent;y has over 4.2 million copies in print, garnering a nomination for the 41st Kodansha Manga Awards last year.
The series has been adapted into an anime by A-1 Pictures and will air on Fuji TV's Noitanima block in April.
This looks to be one to watch in 2018!
