Manga Entertainment announce MCM London Comic Con May 2016 plans

Written by A. H. on 18 May 2016

It's all set to be a busy weekend at the latest MCM London Comic Con between May 27th-29th, and we now have the full low-down on the plans of one of the big anime distributors.

Manga Entertainment (and of course sister label Animatsu Entertainment) have now clued us in on what they have in store over the event's duration, and there's plenty to get your teeth into:

Manga UK @ MCM

One of the biggest UK anime events of the year is once again upon us - MCM London Comic Con will be taking place on the 27th, 28th and 29th May at the ExCeL and, as usual, we’ll be running our customary Manga UK Booth for all of your anime purchasing needs.

In addition to this we will be running our very first Manga UK stage, hosting Anime Karaoke and a number of other exciting events and competitions! Take a look below at everything we've got on over Comic Con weekend.

Panels

On the Saturday @ 3pm, we will be on the Bronze Stage with unmissable news and announcements regarding our upcoming releases, so make sure you swing by! On Friday the 27th, we will also be hosting a Meet Manga Q&A, so be sure to drop in, say hi and ask any burning questions.

Anime Karaoke

Our main event this year is Anime Karaoke, featuring over 150 anime theme songs from such classics as DBZ, Death Note, Bleach and Naruto. We're inviting everyone, solo or with their friends, to come up and sing along to their favourite anime tunes with us. Hosted by the lovely Elle Fortune, it's guaranteed to be tonnes of fun and we're thrilled to be bringing such an exciting and interactive event to Comic Con this year! See the full list of songs here.

Kumamoto Earthquake Relief Raffle

In the wake of the earthquakes that struck Kumamoto, Japan in April of this year, we have decided to use our platform to fund-raise in support of those affected. On the Saturday, we will be holding a fundraising raffle, of which all proceeds will be donated to the Kumamoto Japan Earthquake Relief Fund by Global Giving. Prizes include DBZ and AoT Bundles as well as Manga & Animatsu branded goodies. More information can be found here.

Special Offers

At the Manga Shop, we'll be running a whole lot of Special Offers on our old and new releases and merchandise, so make sure to stop by and pick up some bargains! Don't miss out on our Comic Con Exclusive Pricing on titles like the Ninja Scroll Blu-ray/DVD Steelbook - available for just £5!

Rooster Teeth

We're very pleased to announce that alongside our Manga UK and Animatsu stock, we'll also have a selection of Rooster Teeth merchandise on sale at the booth! Stop by to get your hands on figurines, t-shirts, messenger bags and more!

Other Events

Our stage will also be home to a number of fun competitions and events throughout the weekend - we'll be handing out free Naruto and Boruto headbands for our daily Naruto Selfie and inviting fans up onto the stage to take part in our Kamehameha Competition, where the best DBZ poses and impressions win prizes! On social media, we will be running #FindManga for a chance to win stickers and badges when you run into a member of the Social team around the ExCeL, and online competitions for those who can't make it to the con.
