Glitter Force arrives on Netflix

Glitter Force arrives on Netflix

Written by A. H. on 18 Dec 2015

As promised, today is a big day for Netflix's continuing efforts to bring anime to the west under the "Netflix Original" banner - on this occasion with a very interesting spin on a major Japanese franchise.

That franchise is Pretty Cure, and more specifically its Smile PreCure iteration, which has arrived in a localised English form today under a new title of Glitter Force, shorn of its original Japanese audio and presented instead with an English dub (or Spanish, Italian, German and French if you prefer).

This localisation has been handled by Saban Brands, who have changed character names and removed a number of episodes in their efforts to mould the show to fit a new market, making it a particularly intriguing proposition for anime fans who may already be familiar with the series in its original form.

If you want to check out the series, then the twenty episodes which make up its first season are available now on Netflix UK.
