On top of all the other business going on at Anime Expo, streaming service Crunchyroll had a whole bunch of summer season simulcast announcements to get off their chest, which they duly did. What can we look forward to here in the UK? Let's run down their latest pick-ups.
Monster Musume - Everyday Life with Monster Girls - Lerche are handling this adaptation set in a world where the government has finally had to admit the existence of creatures previously thought to be mythical, granting them rights to live normal lives alongside human families. One boy, Kimihito Kurusu, had no intention of housing any of these creatures, but somehow ends up being forced into taking one, and then more, under his wing as circumstances dictate.
The series begins on Tuesday 7th July, with episodes airing every week at 5:30PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page.
Non Non Biyori Repeat - If you need a sedate slice of life comedy to ease you through the hot summer days, then you're in luck, for Non non Biyori returns for a second season of silly shenanigans in rural Japan this summer. Silver Link remain at the helm for this comedy adaptation.
This show begins on Monay 6th July, with episodes arriving at 8PM UK time every week on this page.
Gatchaman Crowds Insight - The second season of Gatchaman Crowds has already begun, with episode 0 and episode 1 available already and new episodes arriving every Saturday at 8PM UK time to this location.
Beyond these series, the service has also confirmed their acquisition of streaming rights for Million Doll, Symphogear GX this summer and The Perfect Insider for the autumn (with no further news on territories), while Yu-Gi-Oh! GX will be coming to the service (and the UK) in subtitled form frm August 1st to supplement its exisiting English dubbed version.
Are you excited about any of these streaming shows? Let us know your thoughts!
