BFI Southbank cancel Space Pirate Captain Harlock screening

Written by A. H. on 07 Apr 2014

When the BFI Southbank unveiled their schedule for the latest in their biennial Anime Weekend a couple of weeks ago, one of the screenings we were most excited by was the prospect of a UK premiere for the recent CG Space Pirate Captain Harlock movie, and in 3D no less!

However, Anime News Network are now reporting that this screening has been cancelled by the BFI - no reason for the cancellation is given, but the screening (which was originally due to take place on May 17th) has now indeed disappeared from the BFI web site's listings, and a cancellation notice can be found on their web site.
