There aren't many big ticket anime conventions to speak of here in the UK beyond the myriad MCM Comic Cons, so it's well worth making the most of them when they do roll around.

With that in mind, today sees registrations open for 2016's major anime convention, in the form of AmeCon 2016, returning for its first major outing in quite some time. The convention is all set to take place between July 29th and July 31st 2016 at the Warwick Arts Centre (previously the home of AyaCon), and as of 7PM on August 31st you'll be able to register for the event.

Here's a few more details, direct from the AmeCon web site:

At 7pm on Monday the 31st of August, we will be finally opening the cyber-doors to for registrations for the return of AmeCon, happening 29th to 31st July 2016 at Warwick Arts Uni! Don't forget this year we have both Standard and Premium memberships available, Standard will cost £48.00 and Premium will cost £85.00.

What will Premium Membership get you? Take a look at all the goodies below:
  • Express Registration
  • Early Access to the Dealers Room
  • Reserved Seating for Keynote Events
  • Special Meet & Greet with Guests
  • Premium Lanyard
  • Premium Badge
  • Framed Limited Print Artwork
  • Screen Printed Messenger Bag & Hooded Jumper
How's that for a bumper package? Get in there quickly though, as there will be just 100 Premium memberships available and once they're gone, they are gone!

If you want to bag your place at the event, you can do so from 7PM at the AmeCon web site.
