Silver Spoon confirmed for Blu-ray only UK release

After a break-neck week of announcements following MCM London Comic Con at the tail-end of last month, but particular question left hanging in the air from Anime Limited's announcement slate was their plans for Silver Spoon, having unveiled it on the final day of the event.

Well, thanks to the latest Anime Limited Newswire, it's been confirmed that both seasons of the series - which have merely enjoyed DVD-only releases in other territories - will be arriving as Blu-ray only releases in the UK. There's no other information about the exact contents of the release or a timeframe for when we can expect to see the show land on home video in the UK, but we'll certainly keep an eye out for more information.

Alongside this, further details have also been provided for other announcements made during London Comic Con, perhaps most notably that Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju will also receive a Blu-ray only release, while Free! Iwatobi Swim Club has been tentaively scheduled for a Q2 2017 release alongside the first half of Assassination Classroom's second season. Finally, while most other titles announced over the course of that weekend are expected to enjoy both DVD and Blu-ray release, as you might expect Tenchi GXP has been confirmed as a DVD-only title.
