Overlord anime adaptation to receive second season

Overlord anime adaptation to receive second season

Written by A. H. on 13 Mar 2017

After a successful first season which brought about two theatrical recap movies, it's now been confirmed that light novel series Overlord will be getting a second season of TV anime in their wake.

This news was confirmed courtesy of the Japanese theatrical release of that second recap film, with special screenings over the weekend bringing forth the announcement. There are no further details as to when we can expect to see the series airing or the staff involved at the time of writing.

The first season of Overlord is available in streaming form via FunimationNow, and a Collector's Edition home video release is planned for the UK.
