Mamoru Hosoda fans rejoice as Anime Limited to screen Mirai in UK cinemas

Written by D. R. on 17 Feb 2018

We're doing well for cinematic releases here in the UK of late, and Anime Limited are looking to keep up the trend by bringing Mamoru Hosoda's latest film to UK cinema screens. The film tentatively titled Mirai – or Mirai From the Future as an alternate working title - will land on our screens sometime in the fourth quarter of 2018. We'll keep you posted as Anime Limited release more details.

Synopsis: “Mirai” follows a 4-year old boy who is struggling to cope with the arrival of a little sister in the family, until things turn magical. A mysterious garden in the backyard of the boy’s home becomes a gateway allowing the child to travel back in time and encounter his mother as a little girl and his great-grandfather as a young man. These fantasy-filled adventures allow the child to change his perspective and help him become the big brother he was meant to be.
