London East Asia Film Festival Launches with 0th Edition

If you thought the autumn and winter months couldn't get any more exciting, take a look at the this brand new film festival which is set to launch with a taster weekend in preparations for bigger an better things in 2016 and beyond. Landing right after the end of London Film Festival which opens today, the 0th edition of the London East Asia Film Festival will take place at Odeon Cinemas in Central London over the weekend of 23rd -25th October 2015. For this weekend length festival the experienced programming team have selected seven hotly anticipated films from all over Asia:

• Veteran - Opening night gala - top Korean action film directed by Ryoo Seung-wan who will also be present for an in person Q&A after the film. Friday 23rd 7pm Odeon Leicester Square
• Kaili Blues - Chinese drama directed by Bi Gan. Saturday 24th 3pm Odeon Panton Street
• Journey to the Shore - eagerly awaited Japanese drama directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and starring Tadanobu Asano. Saturday 24th 6pm Odeon Covent Garden
• Violator - Philippine horror film directed by Dodo Dayao. Saturday 24th 9pm Covent Garden
• Office - Not the Johnnie To musical which is playing the in LFF, this Office is a Korean horror film about an office worker who murders his entire family with a hammer then goes to work. Sunday 25th 1pm Odeon Panton Street
• Chasuke's Journey - Romantic drama directed by Sabu and adapted from his own novel starring Kenichi Matsuyama. Sunday 25th 3.30pm Odeon Panton Street
• SPL2 - A Time For Consequences - closing night gala and martial arts extravaganza starring Tony Jaa Sunday 25th 7pm Odeon Leicester Square
