Crunchyroll streams Kaiju Girls, Nyanbo and more this autumn

Written by A. H. on 27 Sep 2016

Now we're on the cusp of October, the autumn anime season is about to begin in earnest, and although streaming service Crunchyroll are planning a blowout show packed with announcements tonight (at midnight UK time) on YouTube and elsewhere we already have some early announcements for series that have already started to cover.

So, what do we have on our plate thus far?

Nyanbo! The "Nyanbo" are creatures with square bodies with ears and tails that came to Earth from outer space. There's Tora, who dreams of repairing their broken UFO and returning to space, as well as his sister Kotora, the precocious Shiro, the mischievous Mike, the mysterious Kuro, and many more. All of these Nyanbos are now happily living much like cats, free-spirited and sometimes getting into trouble, in places that humans don't know about.

Episode one of the series is streaming right now, with episodes arriving at 11:15PM every Monday from this Crunchyroll page.

Kaiju GirlsHumanity's battle of many years with the kaiju, giant monsters, has finally come to an end. Now that Earth has entered an age of peace, girls with the souls of kaiju have begun to appear, giving them the ability to transform into kaiju. They are known as the Kaiju Girls, and this is the powerful, transient, beautiful, and at times easygoing story of the strange fate these girls bear.

The first episode of the series airs at 11AM today, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday on this Crunchyroll page.

Dream Festival! The Dream Festival is the stage that all idols dream of singing on, with their professional debut on the line. In order to get there, idols work their hardest every day to perfect their performance... and the key to coming out on top is the Dream Festival Cards sent by fans to their favorite idols. Receiving these Cards makes the idols who make it to the stage shine even brighter. Now head to the Dream Festival with your Dream Festival Card in hand for the idol you love most!

Episode one is available now, with new instalments arriving on Fridays at 2PM (although note that episode two doesn't arrive until 7th October). You'll be able to find the series on this page.

Heybot! The story takes place on Screw Island, a screw-shaped island nation where people make audiences laugh through the practice of "VocabBattles," heated gag contests in which "VocabBots" place "VocabScrews" on their heads and compete to come up with the funniest joke. Everything in this world is decided through VocabBattles!

New episodes of the series air every Sunday at 12AM, with the first two episodes already available on at this page.

Finally, outside of simulcasts, next Tuesday, 4th October will see Aniplex of America's film I've Always Liked You stream in full on their service, complete with UK availability.

Keep on checking back with us for more autumn simulcast news as there's plenty more to come - for now, will you be checking out any of these series? Let us know in the comments!
