Crunchyroll announce batch of autumn simulcasts

Midnight saw Crunchyroll run a live streaming show detailing a number of their more prominent autumn season simulcasts, bringing us confirmation not only of UK availability for titles but also new of titles to receive a Broadcast Dub over at FunimationNow.

Let's see what got unveiled in the dead of night, shall we?

BUBUKI/BURANKI The Gentle Giants of the Galaxy - In the world of BBK/BRNK, It’s been ten years since Azuma Kazuki has been in Japan, and upon his arrival he is taken prisoner by a group of armed men. Azuma is saved by his childhood friend, Kogane Asabuki, thanks to a living weapon she wields on her right hand, known as a Bubuki. Learning about these weapons, Azuma becomes a Bubuki wielder himself and sets out on a journey.

The series starts on 1st October, with episodes airing every Saturday at 3PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page (where season one is already available).

Izetta: The Last Witch - The time is pre-World War II and the setting is a European-like imaginary world. A large-scale war erupts and bloody battles are taking place throughout the world. Eylstadt is a small country that lacks a strong military force and natural resources. Finé, who is the crown queen of Eylstadt, decides to use a secret weapon against larger countries, in a time where battling against larger countries was unthinkable. The secret weapon is a witch named Izetta, who uses her magical force to fight the war. The young witch Izetta (who is the same age as Finé) is the last survivor of her kind, and is notable for her burning red hair.

Izetta uses her enormous magical power to crash fighter planes and blow up tanks. As Eylstadt starts to win battle by battle with Izetta, people around the world start to call her “Eylstadt’s Red Witch”. However, there were reasons why witches were hidden throughout the history. Izetta’s magic has a lot of dark secrets. Her forbidden power has opened up the door of hope and destruction. This is a story of a queen who wants to save her country and a young witch who fights for her best friend and people.

The series also launches on 1st October, with episodes airing each Saturday at 4:45PM at this Crunchyroll page. The show will also be receiving a broadcast dub on FunimationNow.

NANBAKA - Four men are assigned to Nanba, the world’s most formidable prison. Jyugo, a man who attempted to break out of prison and ended up extending his jail time; Uno, a man who likes to gamble with women; Rock, a man who likes to get into fights; and Nico, a man who likes anime. A super exciting action comedy about the daily lives of the prison’s inmates and guards.

The show begins on 4th October, with episodes airing each Tuesday at 8:30PM UK time from this Crunchyroll page. This show will also be receiving a broadcast dub, to air on FunimationNow.

Also confirmed as streaming on Crunchyroll are Brave Witches, the second season of Bungo Stray Dogs, and Magical Girl Raising Project - there are no territory or airing time details for these titles currently, but we'll keep you posted as these (and more) announcements roll in over the coming week or so.
