Anime Limited reveal Persona 3 Movie 1, Gurren Lagann Collector's Editions; other release date updates

Now that Christmas and the New Year is little more than a distant memory, everyone is very much getting back to business across the anime industry. In the case of Anime Limited, that means a number of updates and clarifications regarding some of their forthcoming releases.

For starters, the distributor has revealed their intentions to release a Gurren Lagann Blu-ray Collector's Edition, following on from their previous Ultimate Edition release of those contents in 2014. Like that Ultimate Edition, this release will contain the entire TV series, both films, all of the Parallel Works shorts and a 40-page booklet, housed inside a rigid case which hold the release's two Amaray cases.

The release is currently a timed exclusive with retailer Zavvi, due to arrive on 13th February 2017 before being made available through other retailers at a later date. You can find more details on this release over here.

Also confirmed this week is the distributor's full plans for Persona 3 the Movie #1: Spring of Birth. This release, also arriving on 13th February 2017, will be appearing in a DVD/Blu-ray Collector's Edition form as well as a Standard Edition DVD SKU.

The Collector's Edition release will contain the first film in both formats (with Japanese audio and English subtitles, as there's no English dub), a rigid case housing a Digipak, and a 36-page booklet sporting character profiles, artwork, interviews and cast comments, a four-panel comment and some preview images of the second film.
