Anime Limited announce numerous date changes to forthcoming releases

Written by A. H. on 24 Aug 2016

It's Anime Limited Newswire day once again, and that means a veritable slew of news - much of it not good if you're allergic to anime release delays, it must be said.

Starting with the positive though, the distributor has revealed more of their plans for Blood Blockade Battlefront's Collector's Edition, including images showing its rigid case, Digipak innards and 120-page art book, while The Tatami Galaxy's subtitle-only Blu-ray Collector's Edition release will get a similar treatment, albeit with a 60-page art book and four art cards instead. You can check out those images and more details for both titles at the All the Anime Blog.

So, let's now take a deep breath and examine all of the delays and date changes confirmed today:

- Aldnoah Zero Season 2 - The hoped-for September date for this release is no longer on the cards, but the intention is to release this second season of the show in Q4 of this year.

- Claymore - This title's Blu-ray release is awaiting approvals, and is expected to be available by the end of the year.

- Eden of the East - This Collector's Edition Blu-ray is awaiting approvals and has been pushed back from its previously hoped-for September date, and is now expected to land in November 2016.

- The Empire of Corpses - This first of three Project Itoh films has now slipped back to a new release date of 26th September.

- Gundam Reconguista in G - This Complete Series Collection has slipped from its 5th September release date to a new date of 7th November due to a printing delay.

- Lucky Star's Blu-ray Collector's Edition is delayed to an as-yet unspecified future date, as plans have had to be altered to include a DVD of bonus content matching the disc of extras present in Funimation Entertainment's North American release (upon whom they are reliant for the masters for the UK release).

- Lupin III (2015) has now had its released pushed back to 2017 while Anime Limited investigate whether an English dub is being created for the series as has been rumoured.

- Your Lie in April - Part 1 is delayed due to a wait for approvals, the current hope is that it will be released in October.
